Returning from Cancun, I saw a flight attendant trying to bring a bottle of Kahlua through securityat CUN. Really?
Does that actually work sometimes for them, because she had a supervisor called over. In the end though… #fail.

Off to northern Germany for an, um, unhappy family gathering.
Flying Lufthansa – no, not biz, but the food and drink should be better than united, which doesn’t even give free adult beverages in economy to Europe.

Just had an emergency landing in ORD
Weird noises when we took off from DEN time YYZ. Diverted to ORD, burned off fuel and landed to a nonstop chant of “heads down, stay down, brace, brace”
They told us it was a tire, but they certainly looked more interested in the engine:
A fine way to extend my 30 hour trip…
And the long trek back starts
Enjoyed a refreshing shower and foid/drink in the ANA lounge at NRT.
Now for 4 flights in a row, 3 of them in biz (but not lie flat, ie not real biz class 
You can only see the corner of the basket full of toiletries. Very nice.
Sitting comfy in Thai lounge at HKG
After a day tootling around Hong Kong, inc a quick trip up to the peak, I’m safely ensconced in the comfort of the Thai lounge with tasty snacks (tom ka gai with extra fresh chilies) and a mango screwdriver.
And waiting for my turn at a refreshing shower.
Also still awaiting an upgrade – I might get the last seat in biz.
2 flights and a few tasty biz meals
I did manage to sleep 3 and 1.5 hours on these 2 flights. I skipped the sandwich near the end of the first 7hr flight.

And surprisingly they had an amenity kit (without an amenity bag, which is a good thing) inc slippers, on the gum-hkg leg.
